Investment Advisory Research Analyst

As an Investment Advisory Research Analyst with Frost Investment Advisors, your focus will be performing complex risk analysis, asset valuation and contributing to the development of asset allocation solutions for Frost Investment Advisors portfolio models and strategies. Responsibilities will include evaluating how different asset types and securities might fit within a certain allocation or investment strategy; ensuring investment quality adheres to Advisor, regulatory, and client specified requirements; performing detailed portfolio analytics using Bloomberg, Morningstar Direct and Factset modeling systems; tracking investment performance and fund characteristics over time; and generating analytical reports for use by portfolio managers, team members, and marketing. The candidate must be a self-starter and able to communicate complex investment concepts while working within a team environment. 

Required:

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or a related field 2+ years experience within the investment management industry  Proficient in Microsoft computer applications Strong demonstrated analytical skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Series 65 or ability to obtain within six months  

Preferred:

Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in progress MBA degree
