VP / AVP, Banking Audit

Responsibilities:

Track and validate the completion of management remedial actions taken in mitigating the risks raised in audit findings.
Assist the team to conduct regular and adhoc audits, reviews and investigations, and deliver audit work as per the standards of the Audit Manual.
Review and make recommendations on internal audit policies and procedures according to internal and external regulatory requirements, socialize major regulatory changes and business development initiatives with the audit team
Evaluate internal controls of auditable units, assist the team to prepare regular or specific risk assessments, audit plans, audit reports and presentation to senior management and Audit Committee.
Maintain quality assurance by conducting regular review of audit standards. Recommend internal audit policies, procedures, and programs according to internal guidelines and external regulatory requirements.
Provide coaching and guidance to subordinates to ensure they are competent to perform audit assignments and meet the auditing standards
Provide advisory service on risk and internal control issues to business and functional units.

Requirements:

Degree holder in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management or related discipline.
Minimum 8 years' experience in internal/ external audit in banking industry, familiar with Investment and Insurance product/ audit process is necessary
Assets management/ wealth management or private banking experience is a plus.
Relevant professional qualifications such as CPA, CIA, ACAMS/AAMLP, FRM, CFA, will be an advantage
In-depth knowledge of accounting, audit or regulatory requirements in banking industry
Good analytical and communication skills
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua
