We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Senior Investment Manager .

Principal responsibilities
  • Coordinate the global investment community and work closely with Group CIO and Entity CIOs in the definition of the Group Investment initiatives and strategy, in particular alternative asset classes and cross entity investment platform
  • Participate in the strategic asset allocation and tactical asset allocation process and to support existing and new investment products for meeting return targets. Collaborate with HSBC Global Asset Management, Global Banking and Markets and external partiesto ensure timely and effective implementation of asset strategy
  • Support Group CIO and top management to strengthen understanding and monitoring of HSBC Insurance global portfolios to enhance shareholder value and policy holders' returns
  • Maintain and develop relationships with key stakeholders including the CIOs, CFOs, actuaries, products and market risk team members
  • Promote mobility and knowledge sharing in the investment community


Qualifications
Requirements
  • University graduate with solid industry experience
  • Additional professional qualifications in Finance, Actuary or Investment such as CFA is a plus
  • Solid years of experience in insurance, finance and investment industry
  • Extensive experience of investment products and financial markets
  • Direct portfolio management experience in derivatives, and alternative is preferred
  • Deep understanding of insurance regulations and principles internationally, including IFRS, Market Consistent Embedded Value, Risk Based Capital, Solvency II
  • Excellent understanding of the dynamics of financial management of an insurance business
  • Excellent communication skill sand English proficiency
