J.P. Morgan Global Wealth Management
Wealth Management Solutions - Operational Due Diligence - NYC

J.P. Morgan Global Wealth Management provides investment management products and services to high net worth and ultra high net worth investors. It offers the full spectrum of investment strategies - from equity, cash management, fixed income, currency and asset allocation to alternative asset classes such as private equity, real estate and hedge funds.

Operational Due Diligence within the Investment & Research Team encompasses the discretionary investment offerings for clients, including multi-asset and single asset-class strategies as well as the manager selection platform. The hallmark of our business is the trusted relationship that we build with each of our clients. The highest expression of that trust is our clients' willingness to give us discretion over managing their assets. Over the years, the depth and number of those trusted relationships have continued to expand resulting in $298 billion in managed assets across GWM as of June 30.

We are seeking a mid-level operational due diligence professional to work with our Operational Due Diligence team within the Investments & Research Team. This candidate's primary responsibility will be to support the operational due diligence process on private fund investment managers and will therefore collaborate with our Manager Solutions & Private Investments Due Diligence teams.

Potential responsibilities include:

  • Disseminate, collect and review operational due diligence questionnaires
  • Interact with 3 rd party investment managers to assess business structure, operational processes, valuation practices, compliance policies, technology infrastructure, and counterparty/collateral management
  • Interact with various service providers including fund administrators, custodians, prime brokers, valuation consultants, and auditors

  • Present operational due diligence findings to the global investment review committee as well as the global investment performance governance committee

Requirements:

  • Solid experience (4-7 years) in a similar role
  • Related experience in prime brokerage, operations, audit, compliance, and/or consulting
  • Strong communication skills and presence to lead interviews with "C-suite" professionals
  • Extensive knowledge of financial markets and private investment strategies (private credit, private equity, real estate, venture capital, & hedge fund)
  • Strong academic credentials

  • JD, MBA, CFA, CAIA, or FRM is a plus
