Head of Accounting & Finance - Global Bank

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

• Manage a team of 6 accounting and finance professionals on a daily basis
• Develop, maintain and where possible improve the current accounting and finance processes and procedures
• Manage and oversee the balance and profit & loss accounts , of the firm, on a daily basis
• Take ownership of the consolidation of the firms European branches at year end
• Review/manage the teams regulatory and financial reporting for Luxembourg and across the firms European branches
• Liaise with auditors(both internal & external), with other departments and consultants
• Play an active part in all projects relating to the team

To be successful in this role you will require:

• University degree in a business related subject, with an additional professional qualification (ACCA, ACA or CFA) considered a plus
• 7+ years minimum experience within a bank (is essential)
• A strong understanding of local GAAP & IFRS
• Fluent English language skills are required, with another European language is an advantage
• Proven analytical skills, results driven and ability to meet deadlines is a must have
• Prior experience in leading an Accounting/Finance team would be advantageous
• Strong people management skills - you will need to demonstrate prior team building /development success
• You must have worked in Luxembourg for a minimum of 5 years
