Position Description:

We are seeking a Marketing Associate to join the Retirement and DC Marketing team, responsible for developing and executing high quality campaigns for broad branding and thought leadership initiatives in both the Retirement and Defined Contribution (DC) industries.

The marketing associate will help with the development, implementation and measurement of integrated marketing projects, specifically on the strategic planning, infrastructure and execution of the flagship DC research project - the DC Consulting Study. Additionally, the marketing associate will be responsible for tracking and measuring all activity (web, media, sales, etc.) relevant to these projects, presenting them to leadership and recommend areas of opportunity for further development. This position is located in mid-town Manhattan. It will be part of the Global Marketing function.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Provide day-to-day execution and project management for priority marketing campaigns, supporting Retirement and DC initiatives
  • Interface with global colleagues across channels, including stakeholders in client management, product management, compliance, technology, and all marketing departments (brand, design, digital, channel, editorial, messaging and content)
  • Manage the development and production of marketing materials across a fully integrated communications platform
  • Update, maintain and improve webpages
  • Focus on quality control and quality process implementation, including project post-mortems
  • Prepare marketing metrics reports using Google Analytics, Domo, and other data sources, and work with internal digital marketing team to develop and maintain campaign reporting dashboards
  • Coordinate closely with the global marketing function and resources to ensure strict adherence to PIMCO's brand standards and to harness best practices across geographies and business channels
  • Keep abreast of industry and competitor best practice and make recommendations


Position Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree with a preferred major in Business/Finance or Marketing (or liberal arts with relevant industry experience)
  • A strong background and/or interest in retirement and market research is important, with a desire to learn about PIMCO products
  • 2-3 years of experience in financial services, asset management, investment banking, or market research, supporting the marketing function. Relevant industry experience coupled with client-facing responsibilities will also be considered in lieu of marketing experience
  • Knowledge of financial promotions regulations in the U.S. and key non-U.S. jurisdictions beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel as well as the Adobe platform
