We Offer
Credit Officer Role covering Sovereigns, FI and Corporate counterparties in Emerging Markets in the EMEA Region.
Core Responsibilities
  • Analysis of credit risk bearing transaction requests including: unsecured Loans, FX, IRS, XCCY, Options, Trade Finance, repos, SBL & TRS.
  • Assess the financial / economic situation of counterparties (incl. balance sheet, P&L & CF analysis).
  • Prepare credit memos, make rating and approval recommendations
  • Establish Credit Suisse's risk appetite for individual counterparties.
  • Actively participate in deal meetings with internal stakeholders (sales, structuring, market risk and/or legal), challenge assumptions.
  • Monitoring news flow and escalate relevant information to senior management.
  • Proactively interact with senior management and internal support functions to communicate key issues and develop solid relationships.
  • Prepare / review reports for senior management and board oversight.

You Offer
Education :
  • Essential: Relevant university degree preferably in finance, risk management, or economics (or equivalent work experience)
  • Finance related second degree; professional qualifications, e.g. CFA.
  • Language skills (e.g. Arabic, French, Portuguese, Turkish)
  • The successful candidate will have experience in credit risk management or related function, ideally with experience of analysing financial institutions or corporates.
Business Skills and Knowledge:
  • Solid analytical skills, including analysis of complex cash flow models.
  • Familiarity with country-specific risks and sovereign credit analysis.
  • You possess strong communications skills, both oral and written.
  • Familiarity with legal documentation including ISDAs, CSAs, netting, and credit mitigating features.
  • You are team oriented, flexible, diligent, and self-motivated.
  • You have the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
  • Calm and flexible approach to deal with moving and often tight deadlines.
  • You have the ability to work effectively with a wide range of cultures / personal styles.
  • You possess good knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint software.
