Our London-based client has been active in the UK's residential and commercial real estate markets for almost ten years. In continuing to build the platform, both in terms of funds under management and team structure, they now seek to hire a dual-hatted professional at around the Associate Director / Director level.

This person will enjoy the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in the deal execution side of the business, while also providing key support to many aspects of the fund's financial management. This exposure to both areas will give the right person the opportunity to build great breadth of experience, and develop as part of the senior team.

You will be responsible for a wide range of activity including:
  • Early stage screening and diligence of investment opportunities;
  • Financial analysis and modelling of potential deals;
  • Support to the closing process of investment decisions and negotiations;
  • Ongoing involvement in asset management;
  • Project cashflow and LP drawdown management
  • Shared responsibility for the financial management of the fund; including,
  • Oversight and monitoring of statutory reports and returns;
  • Management of internal systems and controls;
  • Investor relations and reporting;
  • Management reporting;
  • Advisor co-ordination;
  • Additional general operational involvement across the firm.

Relevant candidates will be able to demonstrate a well-rounded skill-set, most likely built upon formal accounting qualifications, either ACA, CFA or CIMA, rounded out with some years of transactional advisory, or investment, experience in the real estate sector. Additional important criteria are:
  • Willingness and capability to contribute to all areas of a dynamic and growing platform;
  • A good blend of technical skill and commercial judgment;
  • A relationship-led and collegial personality;
  • A flexible and self-starting drive, suited to working in a small business.
