POSITION

As a Director for Nuveens Quantitative Strategies team you will have the opportunity to architect and influence the direction of our quantitative research. Partnering with Portfolio Managers, key stakeholders and technology, you will lead in the identification, planning, and prioritization processes that will drive high-level functional concepts from roadmaps through proof-of-concepts to production. Your role will be engaged in the research associated with quantitative and index strategies that span global public markets in fixed income, equity, and responsible investment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Research new ideas to enhance existing quantitative multi-factor stock selection models.
  • Work with Quantitative Portfolio Managers to enhance all facets of their strategies from alpha models, risk management, portfolio construction, trading to performance attribution and reporting.
  • Manage and enhance the quantitative investment infrastructure


QUALIFICATIONS

Required Experience
  • Bachelors degree required; masters degree or PhD in a technical field of study such as computer science, computational linguistics, statistics, mathematics, or engineering preferred
  • Five or more years of fixed income or equity quantitative research experience
  • CFA preferred

Desired Experience
  • Experience working with artificial intelligence and machine learning with natural language processing preferred
  • Excellent client-relationship management, communication, networking and influencing skills
  • Self-motivated with strong project management and analytical capabilities
