Portfolio Manger

Position Description

Frontier is adding a new position, Portfolio Manager. The Portfolio Manager will drive the portfolio strategy process. The manager will focus on  research, analytics, and team project management as well as  professional development of investment team members. Working closely with the Investment Committee, the manager will be an integral part of fund selection, responsible for overseeing fund selection at the strategy level.

Location: Sheridan, Wyoming

Responsibilities

1. Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Oversite of Tax Management Analytics team
• Hiring, training and mentoring of the Tax Management Analyst staff

1. Oversee the Investment Process:

• Review and summarize reports and publications by funds
• Oversee the fund selection for the hire list
• Analyze funds for review by the Investment Committee
• Optimization of Tax-Managed portfolios
• Analyze the optimization results for review by the Investment Committee

3.   Mutual Fund Data Analysis:

• Oversee tax-efficient fund research and selection
• Tax data management
• Monitor reports from sources, such as Morningstar and Zephyr
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative research into mutual funds
• Production of reports on trades for internal and external use

4. Advisor / Client Presentation:

• Written investment commentary and presentations for clients and advisors
• Meet with Clients/Advisors to explain Frontier’s strategy and investment process

Qualifications

• Masters level degree in finance, math, quantitative finance, or engineering
• 10 years plus relevant investment experience
• Tax management investment experience helpful
• CFA and/or CPA designation
• Proficiency in financial modeling and optimization
• Computer skills: including Microsoft Office, and knowledge of Morningstar Direct & Zephyr Style Advisor is a plus
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written communication
• Relevant client/ advisor facing sales experience
• Minimal travel required
