Department Overview

Wealth Operations & Technology is the operational engine of TD Wealth supporting all advisory channels under the Wealth banner, TD Asset Management and TD Securities. Our commitment is to operational excellence in order to provide clients with confidence in TD Wealth's extensive product and service offerings.

Managed Accounts Support (MAS) team is responsible for providing one central area of expertise for inquiries, client resolution and ongoing operation support for Wealth Managed Accounts.

Services Provided:
- Managed accounts oversight
- Liaison between the Field (PIA and FP partners), Wealth Products & Services, TDAM and Operations
- Intake and triage of inquiries
- Fees processing and support for Managed Accounts

The Managed Accounts Support Analyst performs functions that are focused to mitigate operational and market risks. These functions are performed to ensure data integrity across different system platforms; provide process oversight to our Partners in Wealth Products and Wealth Management Operations, in the resolution of production issues; perform trading related account and portfolio corrective activities.

Reporting to the Innovation Manager, this role is accountable for operational support as it relates to QV, automation, processes, reporting and controls.

The successful candidate will deliver automated solutions that adhere to timelines and design, development and deployment best practices.

The accountabilities for the role include but are not limited to the following:

Automation
• Design automated process solutions in accordance with standard design principles
• Ensure design leverages existing reusable components, adheres to standards and traces back to business requirements
• Ensure business needs are understood and design solutions meet business requirements
• Analyze and understand business processes to identify technical requirements
• Create, review and maintain automated solution documentation.
• Support existing automated processes and implement change requirements as part of a structured change control process
• Identify and address any issue that affects the integrity of the automated solution
• Problem solve issues that arise in day to day running of automated processes and provide timely solutions
• Provide technical support to promptly resolve escalated incidents/outages
• Work within project planning constraints and communicate any identified project risks and issues
• Identify opportunities to improve cost effectiveness of automation processing
• Support knowledge transfer within the team

Processes
• Write procedure updates as required to meet audit and business requirements
• Coordinate and support the yearly procedure review and updates for the department
• Create diagrams and flows outlining end to end processes
• Manage the sharepoint space, ensuring all documentation is kept relevant and up to date

Reporting
• Create dashboards for internal (executive, and department) and external (business, partner) reporting

Requirements

Education/Accreditation:
• Post secondary education required
• Computer Science with Minor in Finance/Statistics degree an asset.
• CFA, FRM Considered an Asset
• Six Sigma process experience an asset

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
• Comprehensive and evident understanding of Microsoft Technology (VB .NET, Windows, Internet Explorer, SQL Server, Web Services)
• Experience with automation software (eg Alteryx) is an asset
• Programming languages C, C++, VB, .NET, Python is an asset
• Web Development including HTML, Javascript, XML is an asset.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to decompose complex concepts into simple and compelling messages
• Strong sense of urgency, ownership and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities
• Evidence of strong leadership and building/maintaining productive working relationships with peers across the organization
• Demonstrated ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience and articulate solutions to business teams
• Organizational awareness & the ability to balance the viewpoints of various business and technology teams
• Ability to conceptualize automated solutions and understand the prescribed design architecture
