Does developing investor confidence and belief in a Fortune 500 company’s vision and strategy for delivering shareholder value sound exciting?  Are you ready to unleash your potential in a global business that is committed to moving money for better? Join Western Union as a Head of Investor Relations.

Motivated by our values: purpose-driven, globally-minded, and trustworthy & respectful

We’re a FinTech that’s using insight from customers and colleagues worldwide to improve financial services for families, small businesses, multinational corporations, and non-profit organizations. We’re a team of over 10,000 people spanning 200 countries and territories. We believe when money moves, better things happen.

Better requires process discipline and simplification

We’ll be looking to you to execute the global investor relations (IR) program, including helping to define the IR strategy and carry out the annual operating plan.  You will lead the construction and delivery of compelling and credible financial communications to drive shareholder value, capitalizing on this unique position within the company to shape strategic, financial and operating decisions.  You’ll be working with the entire IR team to cultivate new and innovative ways to communicate our value proposition to investors, emphasizing the strength of our model and educating analysts on the drivers of long-term growth and operating margin.  You’ll partner with multiple stakeholders including HR, Finance, IT, Sales, and Legal at an individual and leadership level across the globe.

Your responsibilities will include developing a compelling investor relations strategy and storyline; serve as the spokesperson to investors, research analysts, proxy and ESG analysts,  and develop relationships with these groups; create a global IR program linked to the WU strategy, operating plan and related priorities; stay on the forefront of understanding the ecosystem of Financial Services, FinTech, Remittance and adjacent industries including key metrics, stakeholders, and competitors; and create a compelling storyline to clearly and succinctly describe WU’s vision, mission, value proposition, business model, and competitive differentiation.

For such a pivotal role, you’ll ideally have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or Economics or even more desirable, an MBA, CPA or CFA.  You’ll have 10+ years of experience in an investor relations leadership role, investment management or research, investment banking, capital markets, or other industry-related work experience ideally in Enterprise Software.  You’ll have advanced knowledge of the Financial Services industry, FinTech, Remittance and adjacent industries.  You’ll also have excellent legal acumen and a “can-do” attitude with a bias towards action.  Previous experience of lean and agile working methodologies is also desirable.
