Position Responsibilities

  • Support the Treasurer with: i) evaluating various Capital Markets funding opportunities; ii) leading the funding initiatives to source funding from strategic partners; iii) analyzing the swap curve and recommending the term structure to raise new funding
  • Lead the internal group to develop reports as per investor’s requirements and responsible for delivering reports within specified deadlines
  • Responsible for tracking, measuring and reporting Treasury’s regulatory and internal risk compliance
  • Develop models using various programming tools to enhance MIS for decision making and co-ordinate with Internal Data Management team to develop reports
  • Assist in managing the Fund Transfer Pricing process and interact with Finance team to ensure cost are appropriately allocated to Treasury group
  • Responsible for running daily interest rate risk models and evaluating the individual asset/liability contributions to overall Duration and Convexity risk
  • Own the regulatory reporting process and ensure company’s Liquidity management adheres to Liquidity Adequacy Requirements (LAR) guidelines outlined by the regulator

Formal Education

  • Bachelor's degree required; Additional Master's degree preferred in Economics, Statistics, Math or equivalent
  • Certification(s)/Designation(s) preferred in related area (CFA)

Related Experience

  • Minimum 7 years related experience in Treasury, Capital markets or Risk group of regulated financial institution
  •  Experience in money market, fixed income and derivative products
  • Experience in investor reporting and product development would be an asset
  •  Practical knowledge of industry practice and regulatory expectations related to Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk management
  • Knowledge of the regulatory environment would be an asset
  • Experience in derivative pricing, risk modelling and programming would be an assets
