What is the opportunity?

RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM) is the asset management division of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) serving individual and institutional investors in Canada, US, Europe and Asia.

The mission for the Vice-President, Sales Performance Enablement is to lead the design and implementation of our data-enabled culture. The incumbent will design, implement and lead the sales performance management function and product sales enablement for the Advisor Channel Sales team in Canada .

What will you do?

Sales Performance management
  • Lead the Advisor Channel Sales Leadership team in the design, build and implementation of a robust sales performance management system.
  • Build change management plans to ensure the enablement and adoption of the system and establish clear metrics to track performance and enable sales leaders to understand team performance and develop opportunities to drive a high performing team.
  • Work with the leadership team to evaluate roles, identify gaps, build, test and learn new ways to deploy sales team to capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Work with the leadership team to understand performance gaps and identify and implement strategies to further develop skills and knowledge within the team
  • Design and manage the ACS compensation and incentive program so that it reinforces desired behaviors and aligns with the objectives of the business
  • Lead development of sales training and onboarding modules for Leadership Team to deploy


Lead Product Sales Enablement within ACS
  • Lead the sales teams role in development of portfolio construction tools.
  • Point person for relationships with product development, product management and product marketing
  • Work with internal partners to develop communication and training plans, materials and reporting
  • Identify impact of new product and changes on our sales approach


What do you need to succeed?

Must-have:
  • Combination of 7-10 years progressive experience in sales, leadership, marketing, communications and compensation design.
  • Technical Knowledge of investments, capital markets and deep understanding of mutual funds, ETFs, Models and Segregated Funds
  • Excellent Communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Strong Relationship-Builder and proven ability to engage partners and pursue a collective goal
  • Commitment to achieve results and high performance


Nice-to-have:
  • Professional designation: CFA or PFP
  • Post-graduate degree and MBA
