AMP Capital is a specialist investment manager with offices in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Hong Kong, India, London, Chicago, New York, California, Ireland and the Middle East. We are a leading global real estate and infrastructure manager and the combination of our scale, breadth and capability provides access to superior investment opportunities for our clients.

We are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Dealer to our team in London. The AMP Capital Global Dealing Team is the focal point for the majority of order execution undertaken at AMP Capital (AMPC). The team focuses on seamless execution across all major markets and instruments. Additionally, the team ensures separation of duties between dealers and portfolio managers with a focus on quality and accuracy of execution, while aggregating and communicating market information to the wider investment management team.

Working as a multi-asset dealer, you will play a key role in working with the numerous investment teams within AMP Capital. Your role will focus on the efficient execution of orders across a wide range of global markets, and across multiple asset classes.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Strong understanding of market fundamentals with particular focus on fixed income and derivative instruments
  • Sharp analytical and mathematical background with expert attention to detail.
  • Monitor execution flows and pursue improvements to reduce the cost of implementing the firm's trading models. Particular focus will be given to OTC and exchange traded derivatives.
  • Analyse large data sets to refine our execution processes across equities, futures, FX, and various other instruments.
  • Knowledge of swap derivative execution and post-execution knowledge viewed favourably

A key part of the role will be ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of market intelligence back to all investment teams as inputs into the broader investment process. This requires a rapid ability to assess priorities and respond accordingly.

This role will suit traders with some experience in dealing foreign exchange, cash equities, bonds and all associated derivatives - both OTC and exchange traded execution ideally.

The successful candidate must show desire and ability to learn new concepts, asset classes, keep up with regulations and change within the business. Full training will be provided on trading systems such as Charles River and Aladdin as well as Bloomberg.

The successful candidate must be collaborative in their approach and be a good team player. Degree qualified with a relevant tertiary business qualification - CFA (or studying toward) viewed favourably. Candidates must also demonstrate a genuine interest in investment and global markets.

**Candidates must have the right to work permanently in the UK - sponsorship will not be provided and those on temporary work visas will not be considered.
