What is the opportunity?
As a Financial Analyst within the Finance department, you will be responsible for contributing to the success of the Product Control COE through quality and efficient revenue and balance sheet control of APAC businesses, deliver daily, weekly and monthly revenue reporting including decomposition of revenue drivers, collobrate with home location Business Controllers in supporting the business on revenue matters and to deliver a first class Product Control function in line with SLAs and evidenced through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

What will you do?
- Daily preparation of P&L and decomposition revenue drivers. Ensure that variances to business estimates are adequately explained and understood.
- Timely preparation of the above deliverables to Business Controllers to support the business.
- Take accountability for the correct booking of all products and revenue to ensure that P&L and balance sheet is correctly calculated and recognised in the appropriate time period.
- Partner with the Business Controllers in identifying, investigating and resolving issues and concerns that are either self-identified, or highlighted by other stakeholders.
- Ensure timely delivery of monthly reporting and reconciliations including, but not limited to, validating reported P&L is reconciled to the General Ledger and that inventory and related accounts on the balance sheet are substantiated.
- Collaborate with the Business Controllers and other stakeholders in project and efficiency initiatives as required.
- Ensure documentation such as procedure notes are current, and maintained in line with best practices.
- Contribute towards creating an environment and culture aligned with RBC's values and Leadership Model.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Tertiary education qualified in Finance/Accounting or professional credentials (ACCA, CFA, FRM) discipline.
- 2+ years' experience in Product Control or other Financial Services discipline
- Strong communication skills, including proficiency in English (written and verbal).
- Competent PC skills - knowledge in MS Office-Excel.
Nice-to-have
- Previous relevant industry knowledge.
- Willingness to take on new challenges, confident and self motivated
- Working knowledge of financial market products
