CIB - Equity Research - Oil & Gas Exploration and Production - SMid Cap - Associate

As an Associate in EquityResearch, you help to conduct and facilitate industry analysis andcompany-specific coverage. This involves core research ranging from dissectingearnings releases and regulatory filings to assessing relevant news events,modeling financial statements and industry dynamics, performing detailedvaluation work, writing research notes and sector pieces, and speaking to internal/externalclients and management teams about the stocks/sector. You will work withour partners in both sales and trading to provide comprehensive clientcoverage, including fulfilling client requests for market updates and marketintelligence. Research is fast-paced, demanding and intellectually stimulating.We look for candidates who possess strong accounting, finance, quantitative andbusiness writing/communication skills, as well as modeling, forecasting, andvaluation experience.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities,including:
• Heavy emphasis onquantitative skills
• Strong written and oralcommunication skills
• Experience in researchor investment banking; knowledge of the energy sector
• Ability to multi-taskand collaborate within a team environment
• Strong organizationalskills and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Advanced level ofproficiency in Excel
• A CFA, or progresstoward a CFA, is a plus

The candidate should have 2-4 years of research or investment banking experience, ideally in an industrial sector. We look for intellectually curious candidates with a strong work ethic, an advanced level of proficiency in Excel, superior written and oral communication skills, and a passion for the markets. An MBA or CFA is a plus.
