Capital Planning Manager
(Budapest Office)

The Capital Team manages the Firm's long-term capital resources on a global basis. The Capital team is responsible for monitoring, reporting on and facilitating the execution of Morgan Stanley's capital adequacy assessments. This includes, but is not limited to, serving as the primary liaison between Capital Planning and various internal and external participants/ stakeholders involved in CCAR and other capital planning/stress testing efforts. The Team develops policies regarding equity capital requirements, capital structure, dividends and stock repurchases; promotes the optimal use of Firm capital while ensuring compliance with regulatory and Firm capital requirements; provides strategic analysis and guidance around issues and transactions with capital implications; and co-ordinates the Firm's stress test as required by the Federal Reserve Board and the Dodd-Frank Act. The team in Budapest works closely with the New York office.

Responsibilities:

The Director level role covers key processes of the Capital Planning Process, including:
- Perform key capital planning responsibilities related to capital planning governance
- Maintain documentation that is in line with standards developed for the Capital Planning Governance framework
- Develop working relationships with key stakeholders of the Capital Planning Process, including Risk, Control groups, and Corporate FP&A
- Lead key initiatives to increase efficiency and enhance processes associated with Capital Planning
- Produce summary presentations for Firm Senior Management

Qualifications:

Skills required:

- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written, with strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated with high personal standards for quality of work
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
- Proven leadership , willingness to develop relationships and work with virtual teams across the regions contributing to common goals
- Adept at working in a fast-paced, high energy level environment
- A working knowledge of European capital regulations, accounting and high interest in the financial markets
- University degree (BSc or BA) preferably in accounting, finance, or related disciplines
- Post graduate qualification / studying towards: ACT, CFA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent an advantage
- 5+ years work experience in a related field is an advantage
