Haitong Bank is looking for candidates to integrate the Operational Risk Team, responsible for the measurement, monitoring, control and reporting of the Bank’s operational risk.

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the Head of Operational Risk the candidate will:

  • Participate in the Bank’s Risk and Control Self-Assessment, supporting the First Line of Defense in the risk’s identification, assessment and response;
  • Participate in the process of capturing, analyzing, monitoring and reporting operational events;
  • Work with the other Bank’s departments in the definition and implementation of processes and controls enhancement;
  • Propose, implement and monitor indicators and limits that support the bank’s risk management process;
  • Build, maintain and improve operational risk internal reports and events database;
  • Participate in the implementation of an IT and Cybersecurity Risks Framework;
  • Assess and monitor the Bank’s IT and Cybersecurity risk;
  • Proactively contribute to wider risk function initiatives and projects;
  • Participate in the operational risk capital requirements calculation process under current regulatory frameworks;
  • Provide an independent advise and/or assessment on product, services, systems and processes;
  • Support in the development and maintenance of the Bank’s risk culture.

 

PROFILE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management, Economics, Finance, or IT Management;
  • Post-graduate or Master is strongly preferred;
  • Experience of 1 to 2 years in similar functions, audit, or consultancy;
  • Fluency in English;
  • Proficiency in Excel to maintain, improve and develop reporting tools;
  • Knowledge on application and database security and controls that mitigate IT and Cyberecurity risk are strongly preferred; 
  • Good interpersonal communication skills and ability to work as a team;
  • Strong quantitative, analytic and problem-solving skills;
  • Ability to work autonomously;
  • Strong work ethic and commitment
