Role Profile

This Trade Support role supports the day to day trading activities of the Equities Derivatives Flow and Convertibles trading desks. Responsibilities will include the below.
- Daily communication with the trading/sales desks and neighbouring ops teams to ensure correct trade capture, and flow, to downstream systems. This includes any Tax and Sales credits that should be applied to trades.
- Products covered mainly include Vanilla OTC and Listed Equity Options, Volatility/Variance/Dividend Swaps and also FX, Rates, Credit and Commodities products when traded.
- Act as conduit for all communications between the trading desk and the rest of the bank.
- Act as SME contact for Change the Bank (CTB) projects including internal development requests as well as the implementation of market wide or regulatory initiatives.
- Investigating trade match issues on Markitwire and working with desk and downstream teams to resolve
- Coordinating upcoming life cycle events (Corporate Actions & expiries) across all Equity desks and working with the desk, Ref data teams and neighbouring ops team to ensure they are applied correctly and in timely manner for all product types.
- Convertible bond setup, and maintenance, as well as working to renovate the front to back booking model.
- Act as SME for regulatory reporting issues

Qualifications:

Skills Required

- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to deal with senior internal clients & join a team of experienced professionals.
- Demonstration in their past work experience of robust analytical skills, high attention to detail, previous process improvement project work and a control mind set.
- Previous experience working with Trading Operations in financial services.
- Evidence of experience with reconciliations and understanding of accounting. Ideally studying towards a professional qualification (CFA, ACA), and a demonstrated understanding of Finance would be beneficial.
- Evidence of developing and implementing risk metrics and reports, and evidence of strong risk mindset.
- A self-starter with the ability to work on their own initiative as well as be a solid team player
- Computer literate and familiar with most packages and strong Excel skills necessary. Evidence of working with data entry.
