EQUITY ANALYST

Nichols & Pratt, LLP, a midsize multi-family Boston private trustee office that acts as trustee and manages investments for high net worth families, individuals and foundations seeks a talented professional with strong multi-industry equity analyst experience to join our team. The analyst/portfolio manager will have research responsibility for 50 to 75 companies, will generate new equity ideas, and act as a Firm resource for general investment or market questions.  The Firm’s large cap equity strategy emphasizes companies with sustainable competitive advantages, consistent earnings growth and above average financial returns. Assets under management are approximately $1.6 billion.The analyst will participate in Investment Committee meetings.

Skills and Experience

Bachelor’s degree.

A minimum of 5 years of research experience. 

Strong fundamental research background and capability.

Able to establish priorities, use independent judgment and make reasoned investment decisions. 

Ability to work autonomously and to collaborate effectively with the Firm’s partners.

Willingness to learn and adapt to the Firm’s proprietary and established investment strategies for capital gains constrained portfolios.
