Can you combine the knowledge and passion for fund management with the ability to improve our systems

and processes in relation to assets of around €80bn?

Who we are:

Irish Life Investment Managers (ILIM) is an award-winning investment management company within the Irish Life Group. We manage assets of approximately €80bn through a wide range of innovative investment products, for both institutional and retail clients, domestically and internationally. We're a recognised market leader both in terms of product offering and customer service due to our ability to retain high-calibre staff and maintain a culture of teamwork and excellence.

About the job:

You'll relish this role if you understand the business of fund management and also enjoy using investment management systems and risk management software. Not only that, but you have a desire to improve those systems to make our fund managers more productive.

Working in a supportive team of five, in the fund management department, you'll report to the senior manager and work closely with the portfolio management and dealing teams. Your knowledge of the fund management processes will mean you'll be able to improve efficiency in our workflows and reduce operational risk. Once you're familiar with our tools, you'll deal with day-to-day front office issues, recommend new functionality and make those changes. It will be your responsibility to work with the IT team to ensure infrastructure robustness, resilience, performance and scalability. You will be a key contributor to our methodology of continuous improvement.

What we offer:

As a business analyst within fund management, you'll have exposure to different disciplines and develop valuable crossover skills. This role can be a stepping stone into fund management or a more specialised IT role, such as lead business analyst, project manager or product manager.

Irish Life is renowned for the training and development of our people. You will have a range of on-the-job learning, classroom training and e-learning courses to progress your career. If you have the drive and ambition, we will support it.

As well as personal development, we are committed to the well-being of our staff, regardless of their contract status. We were awarded Best Health and Wellbeing Strategy at the HR Leadership Management Awards 2018. You will be able to avail of the following:

  •  Work Place Convenience – excellent city-centre location with all public transport within easy walking distance and a subsidised restaurant.
  • Personal Protection - company pension, Death in Service Benefit, medical aid, income protection scheme, and a maternity and parental leave package.
  • Recreation – onsite swimming pool, squash courts, and gym. Regular social and sporting events and a very active staff charity.
  • Health & Wellness – company-wide and local team events, CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility)program, Bike to Work Scheme, an employee assistance programme, eye testing and annual flu vaccine to name but a few.

If you like the idea of working closely with fund managers and you gain satisfaction out of making their lives easier with improved systems and processes, please apply for this position via our careers website.

The company reserves the right to draw up a shortlist as part of the selection process.
