Position Description:

ACE Europe is responsible for the interpretation, coding and maintenance of investment guidelines into the compliance system. This is a challenging and exciting opportunity to work within the Legal/Compliance department managing investment guidelines in the company's proprietary compliance management environment - ACE. An individual in this position will have frequent interaction with the various teams within Legal and Compliance as well as investment professionals across the firm.

Essential Job Functions

Responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting our client facing and Legal teams in negotiating investment discretions.
  • Interpreting investment restrictions from different sources (including regulatory frameworks).
  • Coding and maintain those restrictions in ACE in cooperation with several global teams.
  • Supporting the Trade Floor with investment decisions and directing the creation of rules within the compliance environment.
  • Additional responsibilities include responding to inquiries, as well as participating in ad-hoc projects.

Qualifications

  • Relevant undergraduate degree and/or equivalent work experience required.
  • Working knowledge of the fixed income markets/products, including Derivatives.
  • Minimum 2 years of professional work experience in related field.
  • An ideal candidate will have: (i) experience with negotiating, interpreting, and implementing investment guidelines; and (ii) an understanding of compliance, mutual fund regulations (including, but not limited to the German KAGB), or other common legal/regulatory practices.
  • Fluent in English and German.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel and VBA a plus, SQL a plus.
  • Experience using MS Query/Business Objects a plus.
