Position Description:

PIMCO is seeking a savvy financial storyteller to develop and execute best-in-class investment and product content marketing initiatives that increase audience engagement, enhance client relationships and aid our clients in making the best financial decisions. Our audience mostly includes institutional and wealth management clients across multiple EMEA markets, with continued growth into broader advisory and personal investor channels.

The candidate will report to the Head of Content Marketing, EMEA and will collaborate closely with our global team of content, digital and channel marketers. This provides a unique opportunity for the individual to help shape our EMEA content and product marketing strategy, and have demonstrable impact on global projects. Prior experience working in a global asset management organization, in a matrixed structure, is essential.

This role requires a deep understanding of financial markets (macro-economics, geo-political events and investment products) and how to distill and amplify PIMCO's unique perspectives into highly engaging content marketing programs. You will be adept at originating compelling content based on inputs from investment professionals and product strategists, and adapting content from other regions to engage audiences across EMEA. Such content ranges from whitepapers and research reports to blog and social media posts, presentations, videos, infographics, podcasts, webinar and speech talking points, as well as the full spectrum of product marketing tools. The successful candidate will demonstrate great flair in their writing style and tone, and be equally mindful of narrative construction. Above all, understanding how great content can significantly enhance client engagement and drive to commercial outcomes is key.

Ensuring that a distinct and differentiated tone, as well as compelling insight, is integrated into all that we do is critical to success. You will be thoughtful regards editorial governance, deploying content to help our clients make better sense of what is happening in the world today, and helping them navigate tomorrow.

Experience in packaging these insights into a variety of mediums, and working with internal and external partners to amplify the story into market (through paid, owned and earned media) is highly desirable.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Deploying a deep understanding of client needs and financial markets to develop high quality, highly effective and targeted content to support PIMCO's broad range of thought leadership pillars, investment strategies and services - with an emphasis on EMEA
• Repurpose global content in a variety of formats (with a particular focus on digital) for a wide range of distribution channels to increase client engagement
• Partner with the digital team to create content streams for digital engagement programs across various touchpoints (including email, social, paid display, paid search) to build personalized client journeys
• Optimize content for search engines to improve SEO and SEM quality scores.
• Assist the EMEA Content Marketing Head in managing relationships with external vendors and quality checking content produced
• Liaise with regional translators to deliver timely regional/local content in different European languages.
• Manage sign-offs with multiple stakeholders at all levels to ensure content aligns with brand, tone of voice, legal/regulatory and compliance requirements and to harness best practices across geographies and business channels
• Work closely with digital team to analyze social and website metrics, and make improvements accordingly.

Position Requirements:

Education:
• Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism or business related discipline
• Professional qualification in economics or finance a plus

Experience:
• Understanding of financial markets with 5-7 years' industry experience in the asset management industry; additional experience in a journalism capacity also desirable
• Fluent spoken and written English. Fluency in German or Italian would be desirable.
• Strong knowledge of investment products, including fixed income strategies as well as a strong background in macroeconomics
• Interest in best-in-class content amplification especially the role of paid media
• Experience working with external vendors to amplify content themes into market desirable
• Knowledge of the applicable financial regulations in EMEA
