Job Purpose (Job Summary):
Responsible for managing the pricing groups in the operations of the Data Management department as it provides current and accurately recorded pricing data and other relevant financial information. Responsible for ensuring pricing groups function effectively and efficiently in a global environment. He or she will be responsible for working on a variety of projects and assignments related to CADIS, and Pricing in Global Portfolio Services group. Independently prepare valuation reports for various Invesco Valuation Committees, Board of Trustees, Financial Reporting, and the funds independent auditors. Researches and provides recommendations for the automation and improvement of the reporting and daily pricing processes. Assist in the completion and review of daily and/or monthly responsibilities of the team.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

    According to established procedures, supervises pricing staff in the daily pricing /valuation issues related to mutual funds, ETFs and institutional accounts. Assists pricing analysts and fund accountants in solving problems and addressing valuation issues.Manages the workload of the staff to ensure responsibilities are completed in a timely, efficient and accurate manner.
  • Mentor and train staff in the completion of all reporting and pricing responsibilities
  • Serves as the primary day-to-day contact for the department and Invesco units with any outside pricing information or third-party providers
  • Maintains up-to-date technical knowledge of existing and new security valuation issues in the mutual fund industry and other investment products supported by Invesco.Serves as the primary day-to-day contact for the department and other Invesco units with any outside pricing information or third-party providers.Coordinates the documentation of financial information as it relates to security valuations as required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002.Assist in the coordination of the monthly and quarterly reporting process for securities valuation, as required by SEC regulations and the Funds' Boards of Directors.  Assist AnalystDocumentation, analysis and follow-up of good faith priced securities as contained in various databases.Work with Data Management, Pricing and Corporate Actions management teams to enhance existing processes, gain efficiencies and develop new processes as appropriate
  • Research and document new concepts and processes that arise from the introduction of new products or security types.
  • Complete special projects as required.

Work Experience / Knowledge:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the securities/investment industry is required.
  • Must have a working knowledge of financial or economic principles applicable to the daily valuation of fund holdings and various reporting requirements.

  • Strong management and people skills required.
  • Interpersonal skills necessary to interact effectively with a variety of individuals are required.
  • Must have strong analytical skills in order to handle a variety of pricing issues including but not limited to stocks, bonds, foreign currency translations, derivatives and corporate actions related items.
  • Must have the ability to research and communicate industry practices and operational concerns related the valuation of new or complex fund holdings.
  • Must have the ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize work, meet deadlines and concentrate on detailed information.
  • Must demonstrate initiative in actively pursuing solutions to valuation issues and in suggesting ways to gain operational efficiencies while maintaining high standards of quality control.
  • Must also be able to work under pressure and make quick, sound decisions.
  • Must be able to utilize computer equipment and software, specifically spreadsheet and database applications.
  • The ability to contribute in a team environment is critical.

Formal Education: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance or economics is required or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that would provide the knowledge, skills and ability required.

License/Registration/Certification: (minimum requirement to perform job duties)

  • CFA or CPA is preferred but not required

Working Conditions:

  • Normally works a regular schedule of hours, however hours may vary depending upon the project or assignment.
