SUMMARY OF ROLE

We are seeking a smart, dynamic analyst to join our investment team as we expand into new products and strategies. The role primarily involves analysing and interpreting investment fund structures and performance, writing concise research summaries and regularly meeting with fund managers to support the selection process.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small team and gain broad exposure to investment markets and asset classes. A strong academic record with excellent analytical skills is essential for this roleOur offices are just off London Wall, an easy commute from Liverpool Street or Moorgate and other surrounding tube and train stations

RESPONSIBILITIES

The main focus will be on analysing third party funds across a range of asset classes and
supporting/implementing asset allocation decisions.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Gaining a deep understanding of open-ended funds across global asset classes and making appropriate recommendations
  • Liaising with external asset management firms and meeting portfolio managers
  • Performing accurate and detailed analysis of investment performance
  • Maintaining managed portfolio service (MPS) and personal portfolio service (PPS) models
  • Analysing and monitoring global macro/market developments

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • 2+ years of financial or investment-related experience
  • Minimum 2:1 degree with strong A level results (or equivalent)
  • Good analytical, oral and written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate complex analysis in a concise and clear manner


Additional desirable experience:
  • Pursuing or recently completed a professional accreditation (e.g. CFA or similar)
  • Experience using Morningstar and/or Thomson Reuters (Refinitiv)
  • Experience and good knowledge of Microsoft office, particularly Excel
