We Offer
Credit Suisse Business Analytics is the company's fifth Business delivery center (BDC) in Mumbai, India. Located in the City Park building in the suburb of Powai, Mumbai, the BDC houses the Knowledge Center teams who work with and support the front office businesses of the Private Bank and Investment Bank. The teams are responsible for a full range of business functions from data gathering to investment analysis and risk and analytics modeling. A range of other functions from across the bank will also be included in the future.

The First Line of Defense Support (FLDS) team is responsible for establishing and running the Business Risk Management framework (Risk Control Self Assessments, Key Risk Indicators, Risk & Control Oversight Committee, Cross Border Monitoring, Supervisory Controls) for Investment Solutions & Products (IS&P) business area with the International Wealth Management (IWM) division.

The FLDS team supports and advises the Business Area management teams in preventing and handling of operational risks, such as the risk of losses resulting from inadequate or failed internal processes, people & systems or from external events. It also acts as the interface for different associates including Divisional FLDS, Operational Risk Management, Legal, Compliance and Internal Audit.

The team in Mumbai is closely integrated with the global team in Switzerland, providing support with key functions including control performance, risk monitoring & analysis and reporting. The current role offers experience in risk management of a global bank.

The role of a Business Risk Analyst and key deliverables include:
Monitoring and Control Performance
  • You would have to closely work with the Business and FLDS team in Zurich as well as multiple global business partners across IS&P and IWM.
  • Monitor Cross Border travel and performance of MICOS control tasks and issues
  • Assume ownership of recurring control activities as well as investigate & report exceptions supply to the Business Area's Risk Scorecard.
  • Demonstrate integrity and carefully handle sensitive information.
Risk Analysis and Reporting
  • Independently execute the monthly FLDS risk reporting function.
  • Continuously review reporting processes for optimization potential.
  • Demonstrate tool based efficiency potential e.g. smart reporting structures, macros etc.
  • Analysis of operational risk incidents, major near misses or non-financial incidents, definition of consistent measures and tracking of implementation. Tracking of mitigation measures and maintenance of incident information.
  • Undertake projects to reduce effort in report preparation, improve qualities of risk communications and dashboards.
  • Highlight red flags to guide senior management towards action items.
  • Strict adherence to deadlines in order to support timely dissemination of reports.
  • Provide support for Risk Control Self Assessments and Audit/Regulatory activities.
  • Responsibility to review procedures and governing policies for clear and concise identification of risks and required controls.
  • Supply towards risk awareness and conduct.


You Offer
Qualifications
  • You hold a post-graduate degree in Finance/Economics/Operations from reputed University. Additional qualifications like FRM/CFA/CAIA preferred.
  • In addition you have around 2-3 years of professional experience in Risk Management, preferably Business/Operational Risk Management, Compliance and Audit in Banking and Financial Services industry.
  • You also have profound interest in Risk Management and keen understanding of the three lines of defense within the Enterprise Risk & Control Framework (ERCF).
Competencies
  • You have the capacity to deep-dive into entire value chain of the business, connect dots and perform early risk identification.
  • You also possess knowledge and familiarity with risk types within banking industry and related regulations in the financial sector.
  • You have a dynamic personality with strong interpersonal and analytical skills.
  • You are meticulous in meeting tight deadlines in a dynamic and demanding environment.
  • You can work independently and take full ownership of tasks in an organized manner and assume accountability for early closures.
  • You should have strong analytical & conceptual skills combined with a "Can do attitude" and structured, solution oriented approach.
  • You are able to run/analyze standardized reports and work towards automating these reports using end-user computing tools such as MS Office Suite (MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and Tableau.
  • You have excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships at all levels including senior management.
  • Finally, you have acquired excellent verbal as well as written communication skills with ability to prepare and present management information.
