Zurich Switzerland's Investment Management (IM) department is looking for a thought leader and challenger of the IM business strategy. The goal is to ensure that all internal procedures / policies are fully adhered to and operational setups are efficient, effective and provide the business a solid foundation for future opportunities.

Your Role

As Head of Operations & Governance within IM Switzerland you will act as the central implementation and management lead and be responsible to/for:

• Ensure adherence to legal regulations and to internal guidelines (Z urich R isk P olicy , T ied Asset Principles , Investment Guidelines etc.), initiate change, follow-up, reporting and escalation
• External and Internal Audit - key point of contact, planning, coordination, follow-up
• Actively manage outsourcing and servicing relationships / partners, both internal and external to deliver best outcome (excluding asset managers) including oversight and regular review of S ervice L evel and Investment Management A greement s
• Oversight and regular review of IMS processes
• Collaboration with local and Group Investment Management assurance functions
• Operational Risk Management and Control Framework
• Manage/support IMS projects and other IMS related projects
• Compliance and reporting activities within IMS
• Technology (information management, tools to improve efficiency and decision making, automation and digitization)

Your Skills and Experience

As Head of Operations & Governance your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

• Master's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
• Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and / or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designation is recommended
• 7 years of relevant work experience in investment / asset management, preferably including exposure to the insurance industry and / or audit
• Understanding of regulatory and reporting environment governing (insurance) investments in Switzerland
• Existing or capability to quickly acquire knowledge of Zurich compliance and reporting requirements, procedures and control framework
• Analytical mind with a focus on detail, high self-motivation, strong interpersonal and stake holder management skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills (C1-C2) in German and in English
