Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfils its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are now inviting qualified individuals to join this team in the role of Assistant Finance Manager.

Principal Responsibilities:

This role reports to the Finance Manager of a newly setup asset management entity. The candidate will need to assist the Finance Manager in setting up the finance function, prepare financial, regulatory and management reports and ensure smooth processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
  • Management information, planning and analysis: prepare and submit management reports to business and Group
  • Financial Accounting and Controls: timely processing of accounts payable and receivable while ensuring compliance to procedures and controls as well as maintaining reconciliation of company's records and balances
  • Regulatory, tax and other external reporting: Preparing various returns and reports required by regulators and tax authority
  • Revenue accounting : processing of trailer fee payments to distributors and timely collection of fees from customers and fund administrators


Qualifications
Requirements:
  • A degree qualified CPA/CFA with at least 5 years' experience in financial industry
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage key stakeholders in a matrix organization
  • Strong time management skills to handle the wide scope of tasks required.
