Job Description

The position will be accountable for the following core responsibilities, but are not limited to:

Review and Monitoring daily P&L reporting and P&L attribution process for U.S. CMO business to ensure:

•Produce and review P&L calculations for daily accounting P&L reporting and Risk P&L attribution reports, calculated and distributed accurately and on time.

•Investigate differences between the source systems and front office estimates and resolve variances.

•Verify the calculation of Factor P&L, Paydown and IPV/VA (reserve) and sure they tie with the GL.

•P&L is posted to GL properly and P&L attribution for Sequential Based Attributions (SBA) and Greek Based Attributions (GBA) are explained and reasonable.

•Where applicable, reconcile daily P&L and position reports to front office P&L estimates or other system reports.

•Obtain daily Front Office P&L sign-off. Adhere to policy regarding the escalation of non-compliance with sign offs to upper management.

•Provide analysis of P&L and investigate and resolve all discrepancies/differences in a timely manner, as required.

•Ensure P&L and Risk (Greeks) moves are fully understood, explained, and reported to appropriate levels. Complete understanding of all the Greeks is a must.

•Ensure that all late or missing reports and related process metrics are recorded, documented and explained appropriately.

•Review current processes and pro-actively make changes or propose initiatives to improve efficiencies in order to provide more effective business support.

•Ensure internal control processes are adequate and documented appropriately as per the Trading Risk Standards.

•Ensure process reviews are conducted in accordance with Trading Risk Standards.

•Execute infrastructure changes and ensure that changes are executed in accordance with Trading Risk Services change control procedures and EUC standards.

•Liaise closely with the Bank's front office traders, Market Risk Control, audit, technology groups, and other stakeholders to assist in meeting the Bank's objectives.

•Perform ad-hoc analyses as required by management and ensure that projects and initiatives are approved as per Trading Risk Demand Management procedures.

•Maintain a good understanding both of the financial markets in general and the various products employed by the business.

Requirements

•Minimum 5 years of experiences in the MBS product controls or Risk management areas, especially hands-on experience in P&L and Risk reporting.

•Knowledge of RMBS/TBAs/CMO Tranches products in details, interest rate derivatives, and other relevant fixed income products.

•Detail understanding of Factor P&L, Paydown, IPV/VA adjustments for MBS/CMO products.

•Extensive knowledge of Risk/ exposures/VaR/Stress/P&L reporting and P&L Attributions.

•Managerial/Supervisory/monitoring experience.

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills to translate technically complex issues for the benefit of others and an ability to work under pressure.

•Excellent PC skills in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and VBA programming.

•An Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics or other related quantitative disciplines.

•Applicants with a Master's degree, MBA, CFA, FRM etc. will be preferred.
