Duties
Role Requirements
The role is a great opportunity to have a lot of visibility across a leading global business and have a direct impact on the methodology of the firm's Credit Analysis.
- Analysis to assess rating activity at both a portfolio level and for individual credits.
- Steering groups in the development of criteria.
- Assess the application of criteria and quality of rating process.
- Review and approval of all rating criteria, assumptions and models presented by analytical teams.
- Review rating criteria across all geographies and asset classes.
- Pass on opinion and research to senior analytical team members and group heads.
Role Requirements
- Detailed Credit knowledge with the ability to quickly pick up potential risks and rating drivers across a range of asset classes with a preference towards any of the following:
- Structured Finance
- Corporates
- Financial Institutions
- Ability to develop robust evidence-backed arguments to test criteria and make it as accurate and consistent as possible.
- Strong communication skills with experience dealing with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
- Deadline focussed to meet the strict deadlines of Criteria Reviews
- Undergraduate Degree in finance or other quantitative disciplines is essential.
- Advanced degrees or industry designations such as CFA, CPAs desirable
- Several years in credit analysis, banking or review required, for example in direct lending, credit analysis or in a bank credit review function.
- Prior criteria development skills are desirable
- Strong interpersonal skills
