Summary

This position will be responsible for developing and delivering advisory capabilities and solutions to support the successful execution of the firm's strategy with respect to third-party insurance clients in the US. The individual will leverage the resources and capabilities of Risklab and the firm to support engagement with third-party insurance clients on topics such as capital market models, asset allocation/asset-liability analysis, portfolio construction, and risk management to drive growth in this segment. The position will work closely with the Investment Platform to help develop custom solutions across our capabilities tailored to the insurance market more broadly, as well as specific client needs.

Responsibilities

• Partner closely with Insurance Business Developers (Sales) to advise clients and prospects on their general account investment needs

• With respect to the insurance market, develop and deliver investment recommendations by collecting, analyzing and interpreting data in the context of clients' portfolios, asset allocation, specific needs and circumstances, as well as current financial markets

• Support customization of investment products and service offerings and actively participate in product/service development initiatives through communication with applicable areas of the firm

• Coordinate activities with insurance-focused client advisors across Risklab to develop thought leadership and intellectual capital, as well as guide development of tools and capabilities necessary to successfully engage with clients

• Maintain existing and develop new analytical models that build the framework for the team's analysis

• Collaborate with the firm's quantitative teams across the globe to align models and leverage the firm's resources for the US market

• Maintain, enhance and contribute to presentation of educational and client training material utilized by team across various channels

• Collaborate with marketing team to support creation of marketing material for advisory services in the US

• Assist in driving the thought leadership initiatives by contributing to white papers and research projects

• Provide adequate external (re-)presentation of the firm

•Attend suitable investment conferences on relevant investment topics

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience with consulting insurance companies regarding their investment function and working with insurance companies on investment strategy and ALM-related topics

• Proven understanding of insurance related regulatory, accounting and risk management framework and implications on the investment function of insurers

• CFA designation desirable (not required)

• Exceptional communicational and interpersonal skills
