You will be responsible for the sourcing and monitoring of Global Equity Hedge Fund managers and their investments, with the objective of building an appropriately balanced and risk controlled portfolio, maximizing the outperformance of the Firm portfolio versus its assigned benchmark.
You will identify, research and propose high calibre managers in assigned equity related hedge fund strategies, use and further develop the quantitative screening tools, drive the fund manager due diligence process including desk‐based analysis, in‐house meetings and on‐site visits as well as write research reports on existing and/or potential managers, prepare recommendations to appoint or terminate managers under direct responsibility. You will also follow and analyse managers' performance and risk characteristics in various market conditions to make recommendations to the allocation committee and participate in the manager allocation meetings/discussions; analyse and assess how changes will affect the portfolio's profile.
The successful candidate should be CFA or MBA qualified and have approx. 3‐5 years of similar experience along with the ability to use different information systems (Bloomberg, Factset, eVestment, Morningstar, Barra, MPI, etc.). You should also have an in‐depth understanding of the dynamics of long/ short equities and credit investments along with a strong quant background and the ability to create and use quantitative models.
