Are you looking to expand upon your finance & accounting (F&A) background in a fast - paced and dynamic deal environment? Deloitte M&A Services is the recognized marketplace leader among large professional services firms in providing merger, acquisition, and divestiture services to corporate strategic buyers and private equity investors. We work with clients on the full range of deal execution issues, including due diligence, tax and accounting structuring, merger integration and post transaction considerations. Our multi-disciplinary approach combines M&A, industry and other function specialists to provide fact-based answers and objective feedback geared to minimizing risk and increasing returns

Work you'll do
As a finance & accounting resource with experience in F&A technical and operational matters impacting the broader organization, you will work with M&A teams on a broad spectrum of matters including support and advising on operating models, transition service agreements, consolidation & reporting planning/execution, governance and interdependency coordination, synergy assessment and delivery, and most importantly, functional level Day 1 readiness assessment and post-merger planning and integration execution. Demonstrate an ability to identify and evaluate business, industry, financial, accounting to tax risk related transactions

Working with our clients to develop growth strategies based on their organizational goals, our services are designed to help clients be prepared to capitalize on opportunities during the merger, acquisition or divestiture process. Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate work experience
  • Alternatively, will accept a Master's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field and 3 years of work experience
  • CPA, CFA or PMP or other relevant certifications required
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience in M&A Finance & Accounting: integrations, divestitures, or carve-outs including experience with quantitative and qualitative analysis type work related to transaction close readiness execution and post-transaction close support
  • Must have 3 years of experience in business transformation-type work (including M&A) in Finance & Accounting, Information Technology, Treasury, and/or Commercial Operation
  • Must have 2 years of experience in project/engagement management, including managing engagements and engagement related tasks, as well as managing, developing and coaching professional employees, goal setting, and motivating a workforce
  • Experience with project management tools and techniques such as developing a project plan, milestone plan, dependency identification, status reporting, and issue resolution
  • Knowledge of core financial processes (order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, record-to-report, etc.) and potential impacts associated with merger activities
  • Strong ability to clearly and precisely communicate to your client
  • Mastery level of knowledge, comfort, and experience with PowerPoint and Excel
  • Big 4 or strategic consulting firm experience preferred
  • Requires domestic and international travel up to 80% to serve client needs - all candidates must be willing to travel
  • Willingness and ability to accommodate unpredictable and last minute travel
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
