Our client, a global leading alternative investment specialist is looking to hire a Portfolio Analyst to join their highly regarded team. The company operates within the private debt space, focusing on arranging and underwriting private debt investments for sponsored buyouts of mid-market companies on a pan-European basis. As the Portfolio Analyst, your work will predominately be focused on the monitoring and assessment of the portfolio companies performance. Within the role you will gain some significant exposure, working very closely with both senior internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis. RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Portfolio Monitoring: Maintain effective monthly management of the financials, monitor metrics of portfolio companies and contribute to monthly/quarterly MD&A
- Valuations: Prepare portfolio companies' quarterly valuations based on audited and reported results, forecasts and other financial analyses
- Portfolio management projects: Assist other team members in performing accounting/financial due diligence procedures as well as other projects related to the portfolio companies
- Pipeline and dry powder analysis: Build and maintain periodic reporting for Partners on pipeline analysis and dry powder on different funds
YOUR PROFILE:
- Bachelor or Master's degree in finance or accounting
- Experience within a private equity or private debt institution. Audit or Transaction Services experience is advantageous
- Currently studying towards the CFA examinations
- A good understanding of corporate finance and accounting concepts
- Self-motivated and pro-active team player with an independent working style
