Supply Chain Financial Analyst

Summary

Climate Advisers Trust—a respected research and public policy group dedicated to strengthening climate action in the United States and around the world—seeks a Supply Chain Financial Analyst to join our growing team. The Analyst will perform investment research and publish mainstream Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance (ESG) financial analysis with a geographic focus on Asia Pacific and Latin America. This position is a full-time salaried position based in Washington, D.C with approximately 10 percent international and domestic travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform financial analysis to inform investment research and form investment conclusions, including establishing correlations across financial indicators.
  • Create and interpret financial datasets and translate into knowledge products.
  • Publish research notes regarding market news, company reports, industry reports, podcasts and interviews regarding capital markets.
  • Create and manage relationships with financial database providers.
  • Engage with the financial community in diverse geographies around the world (i.e. South East Asia, Latin America, North America).
  • Provide day-to-day oversight on work streams and deliverables for associated projects, working with and managing external contractors.

Qualifications

The Supply Chain Financial Analyst should possess the following set of professional qualifications and personal attributes:

Professional Qualifications:

  • 5-8 years’ experience in financial analysis.
  • Experience / education in global capital markets required and land-use and climate change knowledge strongly desired.
  • Bachelor's degree required. Masters, MBA, and/or CFA preferred.
  • Demonstrate strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills with ability to research publication ideas, publishing weekly and timely investment news under tight deadlines.
  • Strong evidence of an ability to interpret data and information to form an investment conclusion related to forests and other land-uses and climate change.
  • Demonstrated ability to write and communicate to a broad audience who are unfamiliar with financial terminology.
  • Strong network and knowledge of the financial services sector.
  • Ability to conduct independent corporate engagement.
  • Experience sourcing ESG data (i.e. including use of Bloomberg Terminal) and demonstrated financial modeling skills. Knowledge of other relevant systems, tools or coding languages an advantage.
  • Working proficiency with Spanish, Portuguese, or Bahasa preferred.
