About this role

This is a hybrid role which requires a combination of in-field meetings and business development along with a significant degree of investment consulting and portfolio analysis for Blackrock clients. The successful candidate will work in conjunction with BlackRock's sales team members and relationship managers to develop portfolio solutions and investment process guidance as part of an ongoing relationship.

  • Introduce BLK tools, technology and properties that deliver access to components of BlackRock's Aladdin® Platform and thought leadership regarding Portfolio Construction Theory and educate how to incorporate these into an advisor's process.
  • Present the BLK Thought Leadership agenda in settings ranging from individual teams and RIAs to meetings with senior representatives from the Home Office. Content ranges from Portfolio Construction Theory, Risk Analytics, Trends in Advisor Portfolios and Strategic Asset Allocation to Practice Management and Investment Process frameworks.
  • Deliver the value proposition of Portfolio Solutions - position resources, capabilities and services to exponentially increase demand for the consulting platform through group presentations and individual meetings.
  • Cultivate, in partnership with Sales and RMs, several white-glove relationships with select top-tier Bank Wealth and RIA teams.
  • Provide feedback with respect to ideas for new content and initiatives that can increase adoption or repeat usage of consulting.
  • Respond to client consulting requests by crafting robust, customized analyses. Types of requests include, but are not limited to, returns-based analysis, holdings-based analysis, return attribution and portfolio optimization exercises.
  • Build strong relationships with sales / distribution partners and advisory clients. Must approach the role as a business owner and be accountable for territory rotation and maintaining a full calendar of events and meetings.
  • Support USWA initiatives to create an Investment-Centric, Portfolio Construction-Centric and Consultative Selling Culture - partner with sales to socialize best practices across geographies and channels.
