Moody's Analytics (MA) is looking for a new Business Analyst for its product management team responsible for developing risk and financial products targeting integration of risk and finance/accounting process within banking/financial institution. Initial product includes using credit risk parameters in the financial reporting for reserve management/stress testing and disclosures reporting. Responsibilities will include incorporating requirements from different credit models, accounting standards, banking reserve estimation processes, and regulatory/management reporting needs into scalable and user-friendly risk and financial/accounting products.

Responsibilities :

  • Provide business analysis specialized in the credit and financial/accounting knowledge to facilitate product feature design and development
  • Gather and synthesize requirements from sales and projects into functional requirements
  • Develop use cases, functional requirements, and acceptance tests
  • Work on a daily basis with the software engineering teams to ensure that the engine is developed and validated according to the product strategy, priority, and requirements
  • Ensure that all functionalities, known issues, and changes history are properly validated and documented

Required The ideal candidate should have:
  • Bachelor degree in Finance/Accounting. CPA/CFA designation is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in a financial institution, working with credit risk estimation, ALLL calculation, and/or financial/accounting reporting software
  • Working knowledge of scripting language (Python, R) to automate test cases creation and acceptance testing. Exposure to AWS S3 storage and Spark distributed calculation engines is a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player, especially in creating a positive and efficient working environment
