We are currently seeking an Associate with strong initiative and drive to join our Biopharma team in New York City. The role is ideal for someone with an Accounting and/or finance background that has an interest in Healthcare, and is looking to apply their background and knowledge towards generating investment ideas.

- Create and maintain earnings, valuation and industry models with a strong emphasis on accounting and finance.
- Write research reports for initiations of coverage, earnings results, industry news and thought leadership.
- The associate will be required to build and maintain key data analysis.
- Keep ahead of industry-related news flow, and over time analyze the implications to companies under coverage.
- Develop and maintain relationships with investor relations personnel and management of companies under coverage, as well as institutional investors and internal sales and trading.
- Conduct industry diligence and primary research through surveys, expert conference calls, and various channel checks to evaluate industry trends.
Requirements:
- The candidate will have at least one year of professional experience in Finance, Accounting, Equity Research, Investment Banking, or Capital Markets.
- Experience utilizing MS Excel to Build / Maintain Financial models, an advanced level of excel proficiency will be viewed positively
- Thorough understanding of the interaction of financial statements and revenue models in driving equity valuation. CPA background is a plus.
- Strong Word and PowerPoint skills are required
- Expected to be adaptable and have the ability to work well under pressure
- Strong attention to detail is a must
- CFA, or progress towards the CFA designation is a plus.
