Sr. Manager, Corporate Development & Planning

Location: Calgary, Alberta

Reports to: VP, Capital Markets

Reporting to the Vice President, Capital Markets, the Senior Manager, Corporate Development and Planning offers a seasoned financial professional an opportunity to play a significant role across the organization in M&A, strategy and corporate planning.

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop an engaged, cohesive team of financial leaders, enabling their long-term growth and success at Pembina;
  • Provide senior level support to the business in the identification and financial evaluation of business opportunities to support executive and board level decision making; 
  • Lead and support mergers, acquisitions and divestitures;
  • Contribute to strategic planning at Pembina, focusing on capital allocation, long range planning, scenario analysis and risk integration;
  • Translate internal and external forces into corporate-level financial implications and opportunities for Pembina; and
  • Support evaluation of new market areas and new business opportunities which are aligned with Pembina's strategy.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years capital markets or public company experience, preferably in an oil and gas or energy infrastructure environment;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or Finance along with an MBA, CFA, or CA designation;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Experience leading a high performing team;
  • High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills; and
  • Results oriented with strong organizational skills and proven ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
