Senior Research Analyst

Mellon isseeking a Senior Research Analyst, with the following responsibilities:

• Conductdetailed investment research studies independently for a major investmentarea.
• TheAnalyst will interpret, manage, and analyze research data in order to translateresults into solutions for Sr. Research Analysts to issue buy/sellrecommendations.
• Thefocus will be on macro environment and industry conditions, company businessstrategy and management, historical financial trends, future expectations,volatility, among other factors.
• Analysesmay focus on individual securities, classes of securities, or the developmentof quantitative decision-making models.
• Undermoderate direction, performs evaluation of public information (annual reports,quarterly conference calls, newspapers, brokerage reports, etc.) Analyzevariables such as regulatory actions and changing industry dynamics.
• Buildfinancial and valuation models and other statistical analyses.
• Developthesis document construction, investment memo writing, financial modeling,updating research management systems, and preparing materials for internalmeetings, as needed.
• Interviewwith management, suppliers, competitors and customers from companies beingresearched
• Contributesto research leveraged to produce strong investment management performance anddrive Alpha.
• Therecommendations given by the analysts are the catalysts of research reportsthat are used in tangent with all investment considerations in order makeinvestment decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor'sdegree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.MBA and/or CFA preferred.
• 5-8 years of investment experience preferred; 10 years or more of total workexperience preferred.
• Strongfinancial acumen and financial modeling skills.
• Backgroundin consumer, media, or technology preferred.
