Specific Qualifications / Skills:
The candidate should possess good mathematical, decision-making and communication skills.
•Understanding risks associated with investing
•Maintaining knowledge of market and economic trends
•Knowing various investment types, such as mutual funds, stocks and bonds
•Programming skills (VBA and Matlab)
•Communication skills
•Ability to work effectively in a team
•initiative, flexibility and innovation
•Interest in current affairs and an appreciation of their impact on the market
•Commitment to further study and qualifications
•Language skills and a global mind-set - for international organisations.
•Possess CFA certification or committed to reach the CFA certification in the short term (1-3 years)
•Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, VBA and PowerPoint
Computer literacy is essential although some IT skills can be acquired during training. Excel is particularly important as roles often involve financial modelling and projection work. You'll also be expected to use Bloomberg and/or other financial information platforms.
Level Of Education:
A undergraduate degree in one of the following disciplines is preferable:
•accounting
•economics
•finance
•mathematics
•statistics.
Previous Level Of Experience:
Experience requirement: minimum of 3-5 years working in a financial institution or a finance-specific industry
