Head of Finance & Fund Operations

TSPI Group is looking to add a focused Finance, Accounting & Fund Management leader to its operating platform to oversee (1) effective management & administration of its third-party fund vehicles across Sightway, TSV and future private investment businesses, (2) continued evolution & delivery of high-quality reporting / client services to investors & internal stakeholders, (3) strong control environment for our businesses / operating platform, and (4) broader Finance & Accounting related functions while driving integration across businesses. This individual will serve as a value-add partner to key business stakeholders in areas such as investments, fundraising, legal, tax, and business management. This individual will also meaningfully contribute to the further development of our operating platform to position for long-term scale that will be able to effectively integrate new private investment strategies such as Untapped.

This position is ideal for a talented and motivated professional who has strong experience building capabilities / teams to support a growing multi-strategy private investment manager, overseeing / managing the requirements of a diversified investor base, and has an ability to bring best-practices to ensure the TSPI businesses and its operating platform is positioned for long-term success. It is also important for this individual to be able to excel in a cross-functional / collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Fund Management / Financial Reporting:

• Oversee fund operations & administration across internal & external fund vehicles for Sightway, TSV and new businesses such as Untapped, in coordination with our Fund administrator, SS&C

• Design & deliver institutional-quality investor reporting

• Plan and direct the delivery of quarterly and annual fund financial reporting packages and supporting workpapers, including the coordination of annual audits and tax return preparations across TSPI Group businesses

• Oversight of capital planning for funds including investor capital calls / distributions, capital call facility monitoring, etc.

• Fund & investor performance calculations

• LPA management & compliance, including investment guidelines, carried interest accruals, management fee calculations and expense management

• Ensure appropriate side letter management / compliance, including preferential terms, reporting and communications

• Tax structuring support & tax compliance / reporting

• Ensure appropriate onboarding new investments, including execution & funding support

• Active participant in valuation review and potential to serve as committee member

Client / Investor Services / Fundraising Support:

• Respond to diligence requests from prospective investors and support on-going investor inquiries & requests from existing investors in partnership with Investor Relations / Client Services team

• Onboard & integrate new investors (i.e. AML, set-up w/ fund admin, etc.)

• Contribute to the maintenance of marketing materials (i.e. track record, performance updates, etc.)

• Support execution of offering materials & legal documents and ensure clear understanding of key fund terms in partnership with Legal team and other key stakeholders

• Play significant role in operational due diligence (ODD) meetings with prospective investors, including the maintenance of materials

Other Leadership Responsibilities

• Lead Corporate Accounting related to TSPI Group's Register Investment Advisors (RIAs), GPs / carry plans and overall business unit performance and ensure integration into TS Corporate platform

• Ensure strong process & controls are in place around expense management and allocation to internal / external funds w/ enhanced tracking & transparency into budgets and business plans

• Ensure centralized FP&A, Valuation and Performance reporting functions are effectively leverages across business for scale and efficiency

• Ensure operating platform is positioned to integrate new business activities such as Untapped from a finance, operations and fund management perspective

Requirements Include:

• 12+ years working in Finance, Accounting and/or Fund Management roles within the private equity industry
• 7+ years operating in a manager / leadership role with experience building & managing high-performing teams
• Strong understanding of Private Equity, Credit and/or Real Asset investments from a valuation, structure and performance perspective
• Experience interacting w/ diverse investor base across multiple strategies & fund structures
• Experience setting-up & onboarding new closed-end private equity fund vehicles
• Experience managing high-performing Fund Administrator relationship
• Ability to bring best-practices around key processes, technology solutions, outsourced service providers and control environment
• Strong understanding of tax sensitivities across diverse investors and ability to execute on associated accounting requirements
• Strong understanding of Regulatory & Compliance requirements associated with Registered Investment Advisors
• CPA required; CFA or MBA a plus
