The Product Development team forms part of JPMorgan investment management business. The team is responsible for design, development and management of JPMorgan funds to enhance market position. In addition, the team coordinates and manages different business/product related projects primarily in Singapore with other responsibilities across south Asia-Pacific.

Currently, we are seeking an experienced product development professional to join and work with our team in Singapore.

Main responsibilities and duties include:
  • The registration, maintenance and repositioning of local product ranges in Australia and global product ranges in Singapore working closely with the Hong Kong-based, regional Product Development team.
  • Developing a strong and effective partnership with the business and sales team in Australia and Singapore, with an aim to understanding markets needs and meeting commercial objectives in a timely manner.
  • Driving and managing Australia and Singapore product development initiatives, liaising with key stakeholders, both local and regional internal parties, and external legal counsel.
  • Adopting regional "best practices" and adhering to applicable governance processes for all product development initiatives.
  • Responsible for the drafting of local offering documents, liaising with internal parties, external legal counsel and regulatory authorities, in respect of new fund registrations and product management matters.
  • Operating as a subject matter expert on new products, changes to existing products or newly introduced product features, to support local and regional sales and marketing efforts .
  • Keeping abreast of local regulatory and industry developments and upcoming changes to global product ranges that may impact the local fund range.
  • Supporting/assisting the regional Product Development team in identifying product gaps and opportunities, capitalizing on market and regulatory developments and trends and reviewing the commercial viability of the local product range.
  • Preparing for and presenting new product initiatives at local and regional product committees and, if required, also at global committees.
Qualifications:
  • Around 3-5 years of more relevant experience of the Australia and/ or Singapore funds industry in product development.
  • Degree in finance/law/economics, ideally with relevant professional qualifications such as CFA.
  • Sound working knowledge of Luxembourg SICAV products and the regulatory environment in Australia and/or Singapore and, preferably, also within the ASEAN region.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex matters in a concise and meaningful way.
  • Experience managing and working with geographically distributed and functionally diverse workgroups.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and dynamically shifting priorities, timelines, and demands.
  • Experience of working in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Proven ability of drafting offering documents.
  • Language competency - Fluency in written and spoken English.
