The Role:

Risk Developer sits within the Investment Risk Department and is a quantitative function with Risk and Performance Analysis and Reporting duties.

To assist in the maintenance and development of Investment Risk Oversight infrastructure which run via automated scripts written in SQL & VBA.

The Risk Developer will assist in the maintenance & development of the liquidity process which is based on SQL & VBA languages.

To assist in the maintenance & development of the data feeds which are written using SQL, VBA, & leveraging different types of API technologies (e.g. Bloomberg; MSCI BarraOne).

To work alongside the Junior Risk Analyst in troubleshooting instances occurring in the day to day activities of the risk oversight function.

Help with & maintenance & developments pertaining to:
  • Daily risk dashboards to monitor risk & exposure.
  • Liquidity risk monitoring
  • Counterparty risk monitoring
  • PRIIPS/SSRI regulatory reporting

The Candidate:

Advanced SQL & VBA knowledge & experience gained in a similar role.

A programming language certification in SQL/VBA would be beneficial.

MSc/1st class BSc Hons in a numerical subject & or hard science.

FRM, PRMIA, CFA, CAIA, IMC qualification or part-qualification would be beneficial.

Proven data analysis skills/background, as well as econometric & statistical investigation is required.

Ability to work with a high volume of data, while maintaining attention to detail

Lateral thinker with an enquiring & curious mind, willing to learn new skills & adapt to new tasks
