ABOUT DATA & PLATFORM ANALYSIS (D&PA)
D&PA sits within the Firm wide Regulatory Reporting & Analytics function within Corporate Finance. We are a Global, centralized, scalable and sustainable reporting and analytics team in the Finance organization. We focus on Data Integrity, completeness, accuracy and report preparation for the various regulators in each country and provide production oversight to measure progress and continuously improve our end product.

The team is also involved in the design, implementation, and expansion of the regulatory reporting platform Axiom. In addition, the teams mandate includes determining the appropriate investment in people, processes and technology to improve the accuracy, completeness and consistency for regulatory reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
  • Lead and manage the Warsaw Data & Platform Analysis (DPA) team (15-20 employees)
  • Understand and establish a robust operating model servicing the legal entity controllers in various countries.
  • Manage and develop a large team to establish a high performing service location
  • Carry out 1-2-1, provide career guidance and interview new hires, as we expand the Warsaw team.
  • Support the global lead, project lead and peers in other countries to promote and establish a high performing DPA team
  • Establish robust risk and controls for all BAU processes
  • Understand the operating model and BAU processes and identify and implement efficiencies where possible.
  • Attend working groups and steering committee meetings to represent Data & Platform Analysis.
  • Participate in project and change management for release related testing and implementation work.
Career/Role mobility: External Reporting is at the core of Reg reporting function and facilitates interaction with schedule owners, report owners, Line of Business (LOBs such as Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, Consumer and Community Banking & Asset Management) and technology partners. As one enhances his/her expertise with data it opens up further opportunities to get into project/program management, Chief Data Office, business management and larger management opportunities. Outside of the team there is a direct link to product control functions in each LOB, product owners (SME) or report owner roles in Corporate Finance.

REQ UIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Fluent in English
  • Understanding of Reference Data and Financial products and the trade lifecycle
  • Proficient in MS Office applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint)
  • Candidate should be flexible with shift timing
  • Ability to lead and influence. Strong team-orientation and leadership skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill with the ability to present information at varying levels of detail depending on the audience
  • Strong process and project management skills with emphasis on governance
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated, effective under pressure
  • Strong work ethic and keen attention to detail and accuracy
  • Aptitude and desire to learn quickly, be flexible, and think strategically
  • Client business focused; able to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with clients and colleagues at all levels
  • Team Player (As this role involves partnering with global teams across Technology, Operations and Business)
  • Strong Analytical skills
  • Systematic Problem solving
  • Agile/SCRUM would be an advantage
  • SQL, XML, VBA would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of regulatory applications will be an advantage (Axiom)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • College/University degree in Finance or similar field; CA/CFA/CPA/MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • 5 Years People Management Experience (Team size 15+)
  • Regulatory reporting background
  • Operations experience is mandatory
