The division offers investment management across all major asset classes including equities, fixed income, alternatives, multi-asset and money market funds. For individual investors, the business also provides retirement products and services, brokerage and banking services including trusts and estates, loans, mortgages and deposits.

With over $53 billion in total commitments since 2000, the Private Investments team is responsible for sourcing, evaluating and monitoring private investment funds across buyout, growth equity, real estate and private credit funds for inclusion in private client portfolios across the Global Wealth Management client franchise. Our twelve person due diligence team uses a disciplined, open architecture approach to source and select high quality private investment funds for inclusion in portfolios.

We are seeking an experienced due diligence professional to help lead our efforts related to growth and early stage investing. The role would be primarily focused on sourcing and monitoring fund related investments. In addition, this person would help review growth and VC direct and co-investment opportunities through our Morgan Private Ventures program, our direct co-invest program aimed at the firm's largest and most sophisticated private clients. Since 2014, Morgan Private Ventures' investors have committed nearly $1 billion to a variety of direct, co-invest and niche growth fund opportunities.

This candidate will be responsible for:
  • Source and leading fund manager searches, due diligence and monitoring of new and existing private fund investments.
  • Assist with the diligence of direct and co-investment opportunities for private bank clients.
  • Identify new strategies and themes to pursue and contribute to thought leadership on trends that impact growth/ VC investing.
  • Mentoring and developing junior talent.
The key attributes for this candidate will include:
  • Deep experience with early stage investing and a passion for growth companies.
  • Strong judgment and well reasoned perspectives on market cycles and risk.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience evaluating direct and co-investment opportunities in growth and early stage investments preferred
  • Strong presentation and communication skills to represent JPMorgan to fund managers, internal audiences and GWM clients.
    Ideally the candidate will have:
  • 7-10 years' private markets experience focused on early stage investing.
  • CFA or MBA preferred.
  • Series 7 & 63 licenses are required. If not currently licensed, will be required to obtain within first 120 days.
