The Portfolio Manager will be primarily responsible for all post close activities for Export & Agency Finance transactions across the Asia region. He/She will be responsible for managing the portfolio, booking, loan book across the region, amendment & waivers, asset sale and purchase and manage the overall book. The person will also interact closely with originators and provide ensure execution support as needed.
The position has primary responsibility for the Export & Agency Finance portfolio within Trade, Asia and will report to the EAF, Asia Head, and matrix report globally to the EAF Portfolio Management Head, New York. The position will be primarily responsible for all matters relating to the "post-close" activities of EAF transactions and include;
  • Working with Origination / transaction execution teams to ensure appropriate portfolio management considerations are factored into the transaction documentation;
  • Assist in closing of transactions and setting up the required asset booking process, depending on where the assets is booked. Asia has two main asset booking centers - Singapore and Hong Kong. However, other locations may be considered on a case by case basis;
  • Ensuring transaction files are completed when taking a handover of the asset from the Origination team - verifying all evidence and documentation per the EAF product program, ICG credit policy, other Citi policies and various OECD arrangement requirements relevant to EAF business;
  • Managing drawdowns and compliance with CPs;
  • Interacting with the Agency Officers and Sales/Client coverage officers/PAM/RMs to ensure all client related communication is managed. This will require an understanding of the ECA policies to ensure all obligations under the policies are met at all times;
  • Managing and liaising with Facility Agency and Security Agency to ensure appropriate communication and performance under the Facility documentations.
  • Other functions to ensure EAF Portfolio is maintained in pristine condition in compliance with Operations Memos/Booking Memos and Product Programs.
  • Managing and leading all amendment, waiver and consent requests over the life of the assets. The will require close coordination with TTS Risk/GDR/GIRM/FIRM and internal Legal.
  • Managing portfolio review and rationalization as appropriate - including buying and selling of secondary assets;
  • Managing Audit, internal review and portfolio reporting matters across EAF, Asia


  • Experience in structured Financing
  • Legal documentation experience preferred
  • Portfolio management skills
  • Fluent English speaker
  • Strong credit analysis and risk assessment skills
  • Quantitative analysis skills
  • Strong understanding of Legal documentation
  • Understanding of common financial instruments relevant to the EAF business (eg. FX, derivatives, leasing, securitization, bonds
  • MBA or equivalent
  • CFA also an advantage
  • Strong analytical, strategic and communication skills
  • Strong team player
  • Self-driven and ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail
