The Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM) Finance team is searching for an individual to fill the role as lead for internal processes and annual and quarterly stress testing exercises including the Federal Reserve's Comprehensive Capital Analysis & Review (CCAR), Dodd-Frank Act Stress Test (DFAST), Loss Potential Analysis (LPA), and other regulatory stress tests and related work. The role will report into the divisional Deputy Head of Finance responsible for coordinating and aligning IBCM's stress testing and BAU finance exercises. The following are the primary responsibilities for the role:
Model ownership - Partner with central teams, divisional management, finance, business heads, and quant strats to develop, document, maintain, present and successfully execute divisional models used to project revenue, expense and balance sheet
- Act as a representative on the various model lifecycle governance bodies (e.g. CMMT, Model Risk Management Committee)
- Ensure models are integrated into the existing governance frameworks and remain compliant with firm and regulatory guidelines
- Proactively maintain and improve models and processes throughout each iteration of execution
- Partner closely with quant strats to understand the quantitative aspects of the models such as execution, testing results and model outputs
n Process ownership - Act as the process champion, who is accountable for the end to end execution of the various stress testing execution cycles
- Act as divisional day-to-day point of contact to address concerns, respond to ad-hoc inquiries and coordinate across key stakeholders
- Work closely with the business and senior management to validate model outputs and explain gap between the output and expectations
- Execute mandatory governance processes, including model monitoring, controls, data integrity, aggregation and challenge of results
- Act as a first point of call to address questions raised by Senior Management, Audit and regulatory agencies as needed
- Act as data and control owner and ensure that the data used for the various stress testing programs is appropriate, complete and accurate
Narrative control and thought leadership - Document and explain the details of execution and model results for use in internal memos, submissions to regulators, internal audit reviews or trainings for key stakeholders
- Participate in large scale projects to influence the process evolutions, future proof the organization and drive efficiencies
- Actively engage with the business and BAU finance to ensure full convergence between Stress Testing and BAU management
- Coordinate across programs to ensure consistency in approach and efficiency in firm wide and divisional modeling practices
- Drive convergence of stress testing with other Risk Metrics (e,g SFTQ, ERC, etc)

You Offer
  • 6+ years' experience in banking in an accounting, finance, and/or risk/stress modeling role or equivalent experience required
  • Experience with CCAR and / or stress-testing required
  • Preference for Experience engaging with regulators including the Federal Reserve
  • Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance, or related field required. CPA, CFA, MBA advantageous
  • Deep understanding of the investment banking business and (M&A, ECM, DCM, Lev Fin) product knowledge is a bonus
  • Takes initiative and highly motivated. Ability to work independently and pro-actively identify issues and propose solutions is critical
  • Strong communication skills with the ability summarize complex quantitative and qualitative topics for review or escalation to senior IBCM management is critical
  • Ability to coordinate well across teams and subject matter experts, and represent the IBCM division in internal and external forums is critical
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, and proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Works well in a demanding, time sensitive environment to meet tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with use of financial systems such as Hyperion / Essbase and TM1 (IBM Cognos) helpful
