The Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM) Finance team is searching for an individual to support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. IBCM Finance provides financial information and analysis to support divisional management, the Group CFO, and external reporting to investors and regulators. The responsibilities of this role include supporting the Revenue & Performance Analytics function in delivering financial performance of the division to IBCM management team around financial performance of the division. The Investment Banking & Capital Markets (IBCM) Finance team is searching for an individual to support the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function. IBCM Finance provides financial information and analysis to support divisional management, the Group CFO, and external reporting to investors and regulators. The responsibilities of this role include supporting the Revenue & Performance Analytics function in delivering financial performance of the division to IBCM management team around financial performance of the division. The following are the primary responsibilities for the role:
- Prepare internal financial reporting and analytics (including but not limited to weekly revenue reporting, regional and global P/L / KPIs / monthly forecast analysis, revenue budgets)
- Coordinate with Group Finance and Investor Relations and provide inputs to external financial reports and related supporting information, including quarterly and annual financial statement related preparation and analysis
- Work with stakeholders/ key contacts across the bank to improve data quality, reporting and flow of information and carry out automation initiatives
- Conduct analysis and produce high quality, insightful content on drivers of divisional performance and outlook
- Work with Dealogic and other data to analyze industry and competitor trends
- Contribute to the monthly revenue forecasting and annual strategic financial planning processes
- Participate in various ad hoc analyses as required
You Offer
- 3-5 years' experience in banking in accounting, finance, and/or financial planning & analysis or equivalent required
- Undergraduate degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred; CPA, CFA, MBA advantageous
- Understanding of the investment banking business and product knowledge (M&A, ECM, DCM, Lev Fin) advantageous
- Strong analytical, presentation and organizational skills
- Works well in a demanding, time sensitive environment to meet tight deadlines
- Strong ability to multi-task with high attention to detail; Able to handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
- Takes initiative and highly motivated. Able to work independently and pro-actively to identify issues and propose solutions
- Ability to work well in a team and coordinate across other functions on high profile deliverables
- Strong technical skills in Excel and PowerPoint and high quality presentation preparation is critical
- Knowledge of Dealogic advantageous
- Ability to navigate and interpret large data sets while continuously ensuring accuracy
- Ability to think critically about processes and continuously seek and propose improvements
